History: continuously since 2004
Visual AI Labs is not a brand that appeared overnight. The business started in 2004 as Visual Concept, building custom software and running infrastructure for companies in Romania and Germany.
The rebrand to Visual AI Labs reflects the current focus — AI integration, automation and SaaS platforms — but the team, the clients and the technical continuity come from the same 20+ year history.
Operating model: small team, high seniority
We are a distributed core team of 5, working as software consultants for large companies. We do not sell junior hours: every project is handled directly by people with 15+ years in software development, architecture and DevOps, and 5+ years of applied AI work.
For larger scopes we work with a network of EU-based collaborators, but architecture, technical decisions and delivery always stay with the core team. All development happens inside the European Union.
Areas of expertise
- Software architecture — Multi-tenant systems, APIs, integrations between ERP/CRM and existing applications.
- AI integration — Agents, RAG over knowledge bases, document and process automation.
- DevOps & infrastructure — Dedicated servers, CI/CD, monitoring, backups and hardening.
- SaaS products — Our own platforms built and maintained in production, not only client projects.
- Security & compliance — Security audits, GDPR, EU AI Act requirements.
- Consulting — Feasibility assessment, roadmap and estimates before the first line of code.
How we actually work
- One technical point of contact for the whole engagement.
- Incremental delivery with a working demo at every stage.
- Code and infrastructure stay with the client — no forced vendor lock-in.
- Documentation and technical handover at the end of every project.
